'Frozen 2' News & Update: Second Sequel to Reveal the Connection of Queen Elsa to Rapunzel

"Frozen 2," the sequel to Disney's hit "Frozen," has already received the go signal. However, fans of the hit 3D-animated movie are still waiting to know the official release date of the film. In spite of Disney keeping things under wraps, there are rumors that Queen Elsa and Rapunzel are actually sisters.

"Frozen 2" will feature a major twist and turn of events, especially in the story of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. In fact, there are speculations that Elsa and Anna are not really related to each other and the Ice Queen's real sibling is Rapunzel, Vineyard reports.

In the first "Frozen" movie, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider were seen entering the castle of Arandelle when it was opened for the people. The sight of Rapunzel strengthened fans' assumption that Rapunzel is indeed connected to Elsa in the upcoming "Frozen 2" film.

Moreover, aside from the said scene, the YouTube channel The Film Theorists indicates some of the proofs that Elsa and Anna are not really siblings. The video points out the family picture of Elsa and Anna in "Frozen," which evidently shows that Elsa looks quite different from the entire royal family of Arandelle.

The clip reveals that Elsa has more resemblance with Rapunzel than Anna. Also, Elsa has the ability to control ice while Anna has no special power, even though reports say that Anna's power will be revealed in "Frozen 2."

According to Christian Today, Rapunzel, too, has a special power. The Disney princess can heal someone to good health with her magical long hair. However, in Rapunzel's movie "Tangled" released in 2010, the princess found her real parents, which is contrary to what fans are speculating.

Are you excited to see Queen Elsa, Anna, Olaf and other characters in "Frozen 2"? The film is expected to hit theaters in 2018.
