Someone will be back in the March 29 episode of "The Flash" Season 2 titled "Flash Back." Fans will once again see Rick Cosnett reprising his role as Eddie Thawne. TV Line has obtained the official synopsis of the "The Flash's" "Flash Back" episode, which read:

"After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick, Barry is more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever. Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster. However, things don't go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andy Mientus), as well as old friend Eddie Thawne (guest star Rick Cosnett). Iris makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future."

Before Barry Allen gives himself up to save the planet from Eobard Thawne ("The Reverse Flash"), he will go back in time when Eddie Thawne is still alive. It looks like Barry Allen, too, is opting for the same thing that most of "The Flash" characters want, which is the endless search to be faster.

Screen Rant reports that Barry Allen will bravely face back a crucial moment of his childhood when he once again sees his old pal, Eddie Thawne. Unfortunately, he can't do anything about his death or even stop it. Eddie Thawne, on the other hand, will get emotional when he meets Barry Allen in spite of being his rival over Iris' love.

Moreover, it looks like Eddie Thawne will have a lingering appearance in "The Flash" over Zoom's storyline. Some assume that Eddie Thawne might play as one of the doppelgangers just like Hunter Solomon as the man in the mask in Zoom's prison is blond.

However, because Eddie Thawne died tragically in "The Flash" Season 1 finale, expect a major twist and turn in the upcoming episodes as Iris will be making "peace with her past." "The Flash" Season 2 episode will air on March 29.
