'Tekken 7' News & Updates: Rumored Details on New Characters & Gameplay

The arcade version of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is expected to be released by the publisher Namco Bandai sometime during this summer. Speculations and rumors have surfaced about a bunch of new characters and an exciting gameplay.

Namco Bandai's update to popular arcade game "Tekken 7" is highly anticipated by fans. According to Ecumenical News, the game's launch this summer is almost confirmed as location tests have started in Japan last February. However, fans of the "Tekken" series might have to wait a bit longer for the console version of the game. "Tekken 7" may be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime during the fourth quarter of 2016 or even the first quarter of 2017.

The publisher Bandai Namco has been slowly revealing details for the upcoming "Tekken 7" even if the launch date is still uncertain. The recently released arcade trailer for the fighting video game gives players a good preview of new characters and gameplay elements.

Based on the arcade trailer, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will feature the addition of several new characters including Josie Rizal, Jack-7, Lucky Chloe and Shaheen, among many others. Nina Williams will also return to the game franchise. Characters from "Tekken 7 " will be customizable.

The upcoming fighting game will come with an updated Rage Mode, featuring an addition of new Rage Arts and new Rage Attack. "Tekken 7" will also feature the crossover character Akuma from "Street Fighter". He is a half-man and half-demon character, and one of the more powerful players in the game. A gameplay video offers a preview of Akuma's abilities and techniques in a battle with Dragunov.

According to Forbes, "Tekken 7" will come with an online multiplayer mode on console platforms. Players will be able to find sparring partners even in the comfort of their own homes with the introduction of the online multiplayer mode. It is rumored that "Tekken 7" will also support PlayStation VR.
