'American Horror Story' Season 6 Air Date, News & Update: Angela Bassett Shares Tidbits About Her Character

The upcoming "American Horror Story" Season 6 confirmed the return of Lady Gaga and Angela Bassett. In her recent interview, Angela Bassett talked about her character and shared some tidbits about "American Horror Story" Season 6.

"American Horror Story" director Ryan Murphy first teased that he has a surprising role for the veteran actress. Angela Bassett herself has verified her comeback in "American Horror Story" Season 6, but she's not sure if she's going to be a psychic or some other character.

"But it can all change, we don't start filming until June this year, so anything is possible and everything can change between now and then," Angela Bassett told Collider. However, being a psychic can lead to a different branch of character. She can be telepathic, supernatural or spiritual, which the actress is not yet sure of.

However, Angela Bassett cleared that her role might do "psychic readings" or has the ability to do something unusual. Evidently, people behind the "American Horror Story" is mum about the show's details. The only known information about the show is that it's going to be launched in fall and will be set in two time periods, ScreenCrush reports.

Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, Angela Basset told the outlet that she has a different character. Angela Bassett said that she's going to be an alcoholic in "American Horror Story" Season 6.

"That's all I know, but I don't know where, why, what made me so," the actress teased. To recall, Angela Bassett has appeared in "American Horror Story" Season 3 titled "Coven" and played the voodoo queen named Marie Laveau.

Angela Bassett was also in "American Horror Story" Season 4 titled "Freak Show. She played the role of the three-breasted lady, Desiree Dupree. Her last appearance was in "American Horror Story" Season 5 "Hotel" along with Lady Gaga, where she was the badass vampire, Ramona Royale, per Design & Trend .

Angela Bassett has two Emmy Award nominations for her roles as Marie Laveau and Desiree Dupree. "American Horror Story" Season 6 is expected to return in October.
