'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta' Season 5 Spoilers & Cast News: VH1 Hires First Transgender Member

Less than a month from now fans will get to see a new set of drama and adventures in "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" Season 5. New reports suggest that VH1 just hired a new member for the show.

For the first time in "Love & Hip Hop" franchise, a trans woman will be joining the new drama in 2016. According to Fashion & Style, Mona Scott Young is breaking the barriers again by casting the very first transgender member in the show, who is no other than the music producer D. Smith.

This is not the first time for the "Love & Hip Hop" franchise to showcase the talents from LGBT. Young also featured the first gay couple in the second season of "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood."

Per the Inquisitr, the revelation of D. Smith's inclusion in "Love & Hip Hop" comes with a drama from the veterans. Lil Scrappy made a controversial post on his social media account, which Momma Dee objected.

"You a man with a penis with a wig on. I gotta check these motherf*****s' baby pictures nowadays," Lil Scrappy ranted on a video.

On her own social media account, Momma Dee expressed her love for her son, but she voiced out her objections.

"I do not agree with anything that has been directed towards our beautiful #TransWomen. It breaks my heart to see how badly our transgender community is still being treated even by my own son, but I promised to continue fighting for the voice that needs to be given across America!!!" she wrote.

Momma Dee apologized for Lil Scrappy's misbehavior and unwelcome remarks.

Per Bet, this is not the first time for Lil Scrappy to express his disgust towards the LGBT community. In July 2015, he also considered Caitlyn Jenner's transition as a racist because people do not have the same warm response when a black man transitioned.

This scenario alone gives a hint that "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" Season 5 will be full of drama and new surprises.

"Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" Season 5 premieres on Apr. 4 on VH1.
