Zayn Malik News: One Direction Style Copied in New 'Like I Would' Single?

Zayn Malik broke out of One Direction to make his own mark as a solo artist. Fans had been eagerly waiting for Zayn Malik to debut his first solo album "Mind Of Mine." A preview of "Like I Would" from "Mind Of Mine," however, showed similarities to "I Would" from the One Direction album "Take Me Home."

"I Would" from One Direction and "Like I Would" by Zayn Malik share a very close pattern of lyrics. "Would he please you, would he kiss you, would he treat you like I would," the One Direction lyrics went. "Would he touch you, would he need you, would he love you like I would?"

"He won't touch you like I do. He won't love you like I would. He don't know your body. He don't do you right He won't love you like I would," Malik sang in "Like I Would."

Has Zayn Malik run out of ideas so soon? Besides the comparison to "I Would" from One Direction, fans also compared "Like I Would" to "Love Me Like You" by Little Mix, whose member Perrie Edwards used to date Zayn Malik.

The Daily Mail reports that fans are happy enough to hear Zayn Malik singing again. Zayn Malik received the full support of his fans for "Pillowtalk" and "It's You." In fact, Zayn Malik debuted "Pillowtalk" at the top of Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Similarly, the UK singles sales charts emptied the number one spot for Zayn Malik also with "Pillowtalk."

Zayn Malik featured Victoria's Secret model and girlfriend Gigi Hadid in the music video of "Pillowtalk." Mirror reports that Zayn Malik gets his inspiration from Gigi Hadid. Posting a special message for Gigi Hadid on Twitter taken from "Like I Would," Zayn Malik expressed how the simple sight of the Victoria's Secret beauty is enough to get him going.

Interestingly, the One Direction sound-alike "Like I Would," produced by XYZ, assured his fans that Zayn Malik can strike out on his own. Fans will be able to get a copy of "Mind Of Mine" when the album is officially released on March 25. One Direction fans should be able to enjoy the familiar tune when they hear Zayn Malik sing "Like I Would."
