'Suits' Season 6 Spoilers: Mike Will Stay Behind Bars; Aaron Korsh Reveals That He Doesn't Want Mike and Rachel to Get Married

Many fans are very anxious for the return of "Suits" Season 6. However, viewers have to wait for a little while because filming is yet to start. It is set to begin next month.

Although "Suits" Season 6 is not being filmed yet, showrunner and creator Aaron Korsh revealed crucial details as to how the next episode will start, Parent Herald reported.

The Hollywood Reporter that the upcoming episode of the new season will pick up where they left off. There will be no time jump and flashback although this approach may also sound well.

Thus, fans will get to see Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) behind bars. In the last season's finale, Mike turned himself for a two-year prison sentence and "Suits" Season 6 will document how his decision will change him and affect his relationship with Rachel and the people he left in the firm.

"We're working out the season and how long Mike's going to be in prison, but as it currently stands, he's in prison for a while," Korsh said. He added that they are planning to do something different and unexpected but Mike will not be jailhouse lawyer. They will also feature how Mike will survive in the jail.

Mike was initially planning to wed Rachel but backed out and hopped into a car ride to Danbury Federal Prison with his best man Harvey (Gabriel Macht). Korsh admitted that he also does not want Mike to marry Rachel.

"I had originally not wanted them to get married," the showrunner told TV Guide. "But ... I heard the arguments to have the wedding and then have him go to prison to give something sweet to the fans in addition to something bitter, so we changed it."

But after rereading the script and a discussion with Gabriel they decided to change the plot back with Mike calling off the wedding, which is Korsh's original choice. Korsh explained that it seems more reasonable for the pair not to get married. Being apart is tougher for the pair than calling off the wedding. He also explained that Rachel understands Mike.
