'Star Wars: Episode VIII' Release Date, News & Update: Set Photos Revealed, Will Feature a New Planet Police?

As "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is already in the works, it is quite expected that behind-the-scene photos will emerge. There are few on-set snaps now circulating online, in spite of the staff and crew's strictness. The photos show something that looks like the planet police.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" has been filming for four weeks now in Dubrovnik, Croatia. In fact, "Star Wars: Episode VIII's" Ria and Johnson and the crew arrived in the country to shoot some scenes in the city's streets.

However, the production was protected with counter-drones to avoid fans to see what they are doing. But knowing the eagerness of "Star Wars: Episode VIII" enthusiasts, some of the eagle-eyed supporters still managed to take some pictures, Screen Rant reported.

In a series of pictures released by a YouTube user named Izuzetno.com, the user revealed the "Star Wars: Episode VIII" location's setup. The pictures showed buildings that look exactly like the "Star Wars" universe as well as some customized doorways. Also, there is a current construction in an area with cranes and equipment.

There are also snaps showing a Sea Star cruise ship, which looks like it has been modified and ready for a scene in "Star Wars: Episode VIII." Additionally, in another set of photos from Du List posted on Making Star Wars, the site showed some people wearing a police uniform who looked like members of the planet police.

There is something inscribe on their helmets written in Aurebesh language, which might be translated as "CBPD." Aside from the leaked pictures, people behind "Star Wars: Episode VIII" are trying to hide everything from the fans, according to Movie Web.

There are also rumors that Billy Dee Williams is in the country, which might serve as Han Solo's world of Corellia. However, Disney and Lucas Film have not yet confirmed the hearsays and Billy Dee Williams has not been officially announced as one of the cast members of "Star Wars: Episode VIII."

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is expected to be released on Dec. 15, 2017.
