One Direction's Harry Styles Preparing To Shave Head For Role In 'Dunkirk'?; Swears Off Eating Pork Completely

Harry Styles recently decided to stop eating pork. His new dietary change may be connected with his acting debut in the film “Dunkirk.”

Previously, Harry Styles of One Direction also swore to never drink alcohol and coffee with butter and coconut oil. There are rumors that the singer is highly interested in the Jewish faith, which also forbids the consumption of pork.

Harry’s close friend, director Ben Winston, is a practicing Jew, and Harry Styles reportedly has been influenced in some ways by the latter’s faith after spending time with him and his family for many years. It is still uncertain how long Harry Styles will be avoiding pork, or whether he will be changing faith anytime in the future.

“He’s a bit of a health nut, practically a vegetarian these days. HarryStyles never touches pork,” one insider said. “Harry Styles and Ben are very close – it’s likely that the singer has been influenced by his friend’s lifestyle and sworn off pork because of that,” another source said.

The Sun wrote that aside from staying away from pork, Harry Styles will also be chopping off his famous curly hair. His film debut in “Dunkrik” will require him to sport a military-style haircut. The singer’s long locks, which currently drop past his shoulders, will be cut so short for his role. The movie will also star actors Tom Hardy, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Aneurin Barnard and Jack Lowden. Some people have spotted Harry Styles wearing a beanie all the time, which could mean that he already visited the barber to have his head shaved.

Variety revealed that Harry Styles, 22, will reportedly star in the war drama, directed and produced by Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas, although he will only play a small part. The film is set to launch on July 21, 2017, and will follow the events of the World War II evacuation from the French city Dunkirk in 1940. The movie will be shot using a combination of Imax 65mm and 65mm large format film. Filming is set to start in May 2016 at various locations where the real events happened.
