Scream Queens' Season 2 Spoilers, Cast and Update: Main Cast Will Return, Plot Revealed at PaleyFest

The main cast is back for "Scream Queens" Season 2 as announced by Jamie Lee Curtis during PaleyFest last Saturday. Executive producer Brad Flachuk dropped hints on the casting and plot for the upcoming season.

In an open discussion with executive producer Brad Flachuk and last season's cast members, Jamie Lee Curtis confirmed the comeback of her co-stars Billie Lourd, Abigail Breslin, Emma Roberts, Keke Palmer, Lea Michele and Niecy Nash for "Scream Queens" Season 2. Unlike "The American Horror Story," the cast will reprise the same roles in the upcoming season.

More so, Falchuk confirmed the hospital setting as previously reported by Variety. Inspired by the horror franchise “Halloween,” "Scream Queens" Season 2 will be set in a hospital where odd medical cases are investigated.

Per another Variety report, Falchuk added that Jamie Lee Curtis’ character, Dean Cathy Munsch, will supervise the seemingly mental hospital. In a search for a new passion, Dean Munsch buys a hospital and runs it according to her will. Meanwhile, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd (The Chanels) will be admitted to the mental institution following the finale episode of "Scream Queens" Season 1.

The Chanels will be under the strict supervision of Dean Munsch. Lea Michele, on the other hand, had been hinted to play the role of the killer, according to previous reports. Keke Palmer's character will be returning after graduation and will pursue a medical degree under Dean Munsch.

The executive producer also mentioned the comeback of Glen Powell and an addition of three more “stud-ly doctors” for “Scream Queens” Season 2. Hollywood Life reports that there are rumors of Harry Styles from One Direction joining the cast. The name of the ex 1D member was repeatedly mentioned by the cast during the discussion, arguing who will end up with him in the series. Falchuk has not yet confirmed the casting of Harry Styles.

A sense of mystery has been vital to the success of “Scream Queens” Season 2, according to Curtis. Filming of "Scream Queens" Season 2 will be in Los Angeles. Check out this funny video from Vanity Fair of the cast trying on different flavors of ice cream.
