Selena Gomez Unsure of Finding True Love After Split with Justin Bieber

It has been quite a while since Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber broke up. However, it seems that their relationship still affects the "Hands to Myself" singer.

Gomez's failed relationship with Bieber made her apprehensive about her future relationships. In fact, she fears that finding her true love would be difficult and even joked around her friends that she will be single forever. Some of her friends actually believe her.

"She is very apprehensive in trying something new or being set up because she believes it is doomed to fail from the start for a plethora of reasons," one insider told Hollywood Life. "She covers those emotions up though by always working, she now wants to be continuously busy whether it is with her tour or doing films. It gives her an excuse to not stress on meeting a guy."

While Gomez had a hard time finding her true love, she is blessed with great and supportive friends. In a separate report from Hollywood Life, Selena's best friend Taylor Swift is encouraging the "Same Old Love" singer to move forward and find a new love. "Taylor is always encouraging Selena," the source said.

"She never brags about her relationship with Calvin. Instead, she reminds Selena about her own heartache and how she overcame her own obstacles and eventually met Calvin. She just tells her to keep believing that her time will come and not to settle. And most importantly, to have an open mind and heart," the insider explained.

Gomez admitted that parting ways with Bieber broke her heart but explained that they are now in a good place. In fact, she stressed that she is no longer angry at how things end.

"There's closure in a very good, healthy way. We've seen each other. I'm always encouraging and I am proud of his journey. I think people are making it out to be something that is more tragic than it really was. We grew up together. We both made mistakes. That's it," she said per Billboard.
