'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Season 2 Trailer Is Out; Kimmy Gets a New Job

Season 2 of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is set to launch on April 15, 2016. A trailer was recently released showing Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) with a new job.

Previously, Netflix showcased a trailer of “ Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” showing Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski walking and showing off with a white background. The new trailer showed new footage from "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Season 2 created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.

The video showed Kimmy on her new job as an elf at a year-round Christmas shop. Kimmy also met Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) again, who is back in New York. Jacqueline also had a statement she wanted to trademark for the hardest thing that a trophy wife has to do -- “Lose the jerk but keep the perks.”

In the new “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” Kimmy also shared to Titus (Burgess) that she met a cute guy at a restaurant. Titus proceeded to advise her to get the man’s number. Titus will also be compelled to look back at his past as his ex-wife, Jacqueline, resurfaces. Landlady Lillian (Carol Kane) will find romance in the upcoming episodes of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

Another scene in “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Season 2 showed Kimmy saying that all she is asking for is a chance to get her life back on track. Kimmy will also be going on therapy. She added that she has hope, the same kind that helped her get through 15 years in a bunker. There was also one scene in “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" where she was watching a rabbit and kitten mingling, prompting her to sing a song about the animals being best friends.

The Hollywood Reporter cited Tina Fey saying at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour that “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Season 2 will delve deeper into the lives of its character.

"She grapples with some pretty heavy life stuff in this season," Ellie Kemper said. While the first season involved Schmidt catching up on 15 years of news and pop-culture phenomena after being trapped in a bunker, she now has "deeper emotional and life issues that she kind of has to really get into, and that’s more what this season is about," Fey said.

Are you excited to see more of Kimmy? The “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Season 2 will air on April 15 on Netflix. More updates and details are expected soon.
