Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been best friends for several years. Recently, Selena Gomez has been taking after her bestie on Instagram by becoming the most followed celebrity on the photo-sharing site.

Selena Gomez, 23, has passed Taylor Swift, 26, on Instagram with 69.4 million followers. Swift currently has 69.2 million. Kim Kardashian trails in third place with 63.6 million followers.

Mail Online wrote that Taylor is most likely very happy with Selena Gomez’s new accomplishment on Instagram. There has never been any rivalry between the two singers. The two previously revealed that they never argued about anything before, and that Swift treats Gomez like her own little sister.

Selena Gomez also said before that she wanted to collaborate with her best friend.

“The opportunity has always been there and I think she is one of the most talented songwriters I have ever met. I don't know – I would want it to be a moment but we'll see,” Gomez said.
