'Fifty Shades Darker' Cast & Plot: Dakota Johnson's On-Screen Bodyguard Starts Filming; Actress' Smile Lights Up The Set

Fans of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" will see new faces in its sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker." According to reports, Anastasia Steele's personal bodyguard just started filming for the anticipated film.

CeleBuzz reported that the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker" was spotted on the Vancouver set. Along with the familiar characters was a new face: Brant Daugherty.

Per the report, Daugherty was cast as Luke Sawyer in "Fifty Shades Darker" last February. However, after a couple of weeks of filming, it was the first time that the hunk actor was spotted on the set.

Daugherty will be playing as Steele's (Dakota Johnson) bodyguard. In the "Fifty Shades Darker" book, her business magnate boyfriend, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) personally selected Sawyer to watch over her.

Daugherty was very pleased with the warm welcome he received from his "Fifty Shades Darker" co-stars. "Thanks for the warm welcome @E_L_James! I can't say how excited I am to bring Sawyer to life #FiftyShades," he wrote on his social media account.

Aside from Daugherty, the American actress and fashion model Kim Basinger will also join "Fifty Shades Darker" as Mrs. Robinson, the character who introduced Grey in the dark world, Daily Mail Online reported. Aside from this, she was among the person who helped Grey to build his business empire.

Meanwhile, Johnson was in high spirit while filming "Fifty Shades Darker." As the report puts it, the actress' smile lights up the set while shooting in the rain.

Johnson was in character. She wore a khaki raincoat, black opaque tights and black suede booties. As for her long red hair, she just styled it with a fringe and let it flow over her shoulder.

The actress was spotted laughing at something she saw. Clearly, the gloomy weather did not affect her mood.

Dornan was not seen in the "Fifty Shades Darker" set, but per the report, earlier this month, the "Fifty Shades Darker" lead stars were caught smooching in characters.

"Fifty Shades Darker" premieres on Feb. 10, 2017.
