Since 2006, LeBron James has never missed the NBA Playoffs. Now, one of the greatest players in the league is preparing to enter the NBA postseason with his new Nike LeBron 13 Elite basketball shoes.

King James is planning to make his sixth consecutive NBA Finals appearance in June 2016. He and the Cleveland Cavaliers will have to win 12 crucial games to get to the final round and hopefully become NBA champions.

Sneaker News revealed that part of the preparations include the fifth version of the Nike LeBron Elite series, dubbed the LeBron 13 Elite. Nike stated that the shoe is the most finely-tuned LeBron sneakers yet.

The shoe features a simple design, giving it a fresh appearance as if it were a completely new shoe from its predecessors. The upper part of the basketball shoe showcases a Kurim cage, which as a highly pliable and durable material that will provide the main lockdown for the forward’s feet. There is a huge carbon fiber shank that goes to the ankle, adding stability and springiness. The shoe also has Hex-Zoom cushioning that provides additional support and comfort when landing.

The red colorway was the first version of the LeBron 13 Elite to be featured. The shoe was predominantly red on the upper portion. It had a black midsole with red speckles and an ice white bottom. The tongue and laces are red while the insole is black. The shoe also had flywires for added stability and lockdown. There is a huge white Swoosh on the toe part of the shoe extending to the outer side.

In the advertisement, LeBron James said that the shoe works as hard as he does on the court. The high-cut footwear will be ideal for guards, forwards and centers who play with a lot of speed and power, just like LeBron.

There will be three colorways of the Nike LeBron 13 Elite to release. The red colorway will become available on April 14, 2016. The white colorway will launch on May 5, 2016, while the black colorway will release on May 26, 2016. More updates and details are expected soon.
