A Healthy Baby Boy for Crystal Renay Smith and Ne-Yo!

Ne-Yo and new wife Crystal Renay Smith welcomed their first child together on Tuesday, March 15. The 6lbs 8 oz and 19-inch baby boy was named Prince Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr.

According to People, the announcement was made Crystal Renay Smith via Instagram. She took a picture of her newborn son's hand clutching her finger. She described her delivery as the scariest with her ending up in an emergency c-section. She thanked her doctor, Sheryl Ross, and her calm husband, Ne-yo, for helping her through the complicated delivery. Check out the Instagram post below:

Just last month, the model and the R&B singer shared wedding vows in an intimate oceanside ceremony in Los Angeles. Feeling scared that she might fall on her face while walking down the aisle, the model mom managed to pull off the wedding while pregnant. They announced their engagement and pregnancy simultaneously last August.

Daily Mail UK adds that Crystal Renay Smith and Ne-Yo first met on a short film that Ne-yo is making for his album. The news site said it was definitely love at first sight. While it was all business at first, things got more intimate and they just kind of hit off, he said. She knew she was special right from the first encounter, Ne-yo explained.
