'The Winds of Winter' Release Date & Spoilers: Book Will Be Out in Three Months; A Major Death In The Book Is Already Shown in 'Game of Thrones'

At the time, there is no other book that is as popular and as in demand as "The Winds of Winter." The sixth installment of the book "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is long overdue, yet after four years of waiting and counting fans are still left in the dark as to when the anticipated book will finally see the light of day.

There have been non-stop talks about the release date of "The Winds of Winter" but George RR Martin remains mum as to when his anticipated book will finally be out. Parent Herald previously reported that "The Winds of Winter" might be delayed, yet again.

There were reports claiming that "The Winds of Winter" will be pushed back to 2017. However, other new rumors suggest otherwise.

According to Amazon Adviser, once Martin finishes "The Winds of Winter," the book will still need to go through a lot of processes. It may take a year before the book hits the bookshelves. However, if the team would speed up the production and distribution, fans may see "The Winds of winter" in the next three to four months.

Meanwhile, new reports claim that one of the plots in "The Winds of Winter" has already been spoiled in "Game of Thrones." The celebrity author confirms that a major death in "The Winds of Winter" has been shown in "Game of Thrones" Season 5, Den of Geek reports. The Blu-ray edition of the said season includes the major scenes and the behind the scenes information, where the details spring.

Per the report, Martin originally planned to make Stannis and Melisandre sacrifice Shireen Baratheon to the Red God. This scene happened in "GoT" Season 5 when the character was burned alive. Stannis hoped that the sacrifice would help him achieve his victory against the Boltons but it did not turn out as planned. Stannis himself lost his life in the process.

Although it is confirmed that Shireen will die in "The Winds of Winter," it's not confirmed yet if Stannis would also die in the book.

At the time, the release date of "The Winds of Winter" is not yet confirmed, but many are hopeful that it will arrive soon.
