Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge News & Updates: Pre-orders For The Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge Reached Over 10 Million

A report published yesterday suggests that Samsung has received in China over 10 million pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galasxy S7 Edge. Pre-orders have been opened by Samsung in China since March 11.

According to Android Headlines, from the total of more than 10 million pre-orders, consumers pre-ordered 6.35 million Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge units only from Jingdong Mall (JD.com), one of the biggest online retailers in China. A number of around 1.3 million Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge units have been pre-ordered from Sunning. The rest of pre-orders were mostly from Lynx and Gome.

Adding these figures all together, it appears like Samsung has already crossed the 10-million mark and they could easily hit 15 million pre-orders of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge if they keep this up. Pre-orders for the new Samsung smartphones close on March 18 in China.

Since they were introduced last month, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have been all over the news. The new Samsung mobile devices are available for purchase in many countries all over the globe. From the first sales reports, it seems like Chinese consumers are quite interested in these new Samsung smartphones. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in China have totally outnumbered the order in Europe.

Chinese market for smartphones is extremely competitive. Up to date, the South Korean tech giant Samsung has been struggling in China in terms of sales. Now, it appears that Samsung is looking to regain a part of that market share.

According to GSM Arena, these high pre-orders figures in China are good news for the South Korean tech giant. Just a week ago, Koh Dong-jin, Samsung's mobile chief, declared that the company is aiming to reverse their fortunes in China with their new flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

It is uncertain, however, how many of these pre-orders will effectively transform in Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge sales for Samsung. In China, pre-orders are unlike pre-orders elsewhere and they mean more of a "register your interest".
