Chipotle News: Mexican Fast Food Company Promises More Free Food Amid Massive Losses

Giant Mexican fast food company Chipotle has been through a lot of controversies these days because of the many health issues that their food has brought to their loyal patrons. The company revealed on March 16 that they are indeed losing a lot of money since the health of a lot of people has been jeopardized because of their products. But despite the losses, the company is giving away free food in order to win their customers back and somehow, they feel like it is working.

In an article published by Eater, Chipotle is still very much positive that they are going to win back their customers again with their current way of doing business. They are giving away more free coupons this time to avail their free burrito.

But the thing is, they only planned to release 2.5 million of these free coupons and currently are giving away 5.3 million of them. Lots of business experts are saying that the company is just about to sink with their current move.

But despite of all these things that experts are seeing, Chipotle is still confident with their plan and even announced that their campaign is going successful since 67% of those free coupons have already been redeemed. This just means that they could be gaining the trust of people with their food again.

Right now, 14,000 customers have been asking for their free coupon every minute. All these things happening to Chipotle are pparently not making them fear the future, yet they even plan to give out more free food.

According to the Associated Press, the company even distributed about six to ten million free coupons for their campaign, summing up for 21 million as part of their plan. This summer, they also plan to do a buy-one-get-one-free campaign, which could probably really make up for their lost sales.
