NeNe Leakes Released from Hospital after Doctors Found Blood Clots in Her Lungs

Real Houswives of Atlanta Star, NeNe Leakes was hospitalized last week and was diagnosed by her daughters with blood clots in her lungs, according to E! Online.

Leakes wrote on her blog on Tuesday that she is "blessed to be alive" and even posted a photo on her official Twitter account on Monday. The 45-year old reality TV star thanked all of her fans for their prayers and support and revealed how she actually did end up in the hospital. Leakes explained: "wasn't feeling well and was feeling a little short of breath", last week so she went to the hospital for a checkup. "I'm thankful to be alive as the doctor advised me that people don't recognize the symptoms of blood clots and don't go to the doctor and that's when the big problems start happening," she wrote. NeNe also clarified the rumors that circulated, saying: "contrary to published reports, I did not have a heart attack." 

NeNe Leakes is now back at home with her wonderful husband Gregg Leakes and the rest of her family. She also said that she was "fortunate to have had a wonderful experience with the doctors and nurses" who took care of her and now feels blessed to be back at home. Her former nemesis, Sharee Whitfield said: "I'll say a prayer for her and I'm hoping she makes a quick recovery. She's a fighter, so I know she'll be okay." Kim Zolciak also sent her well wishes and said: "My thoughts and prayers are with NeNe at this time. I know she will be back to her feisty self in no time. Fans, friends and family members also prayed for Leakes's speedy recovery. As of late, no reports have confirmed when the actress will be back on television.
