Why Ben Affleck Won't Take 4-Year Old Son To 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice'

After Ben Affleck admitted that part of the reason why he took on the role of Batman is his son, he would not be letting Samuel, his 4-year old watch the film "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." He says that doing so might just give little Sam nightmares.

In a report by foxnews.com Affleck said, "Four years old is a little young to see this whole movie." His son has been seeing him on trailers and all the footage that's available on television and online which usually last 2 minutes. According to the 43-year old dad of 3, two minutes is "his whole attention span anyway."

Perhaps Affleck would rather not have his son see the heavy fist-pounding or could it be from the scenes with himself and Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman. According to Cinema Blend, the film will have more violence scenes compared to sexual content so expect to see some intense fight scenes.

One of the reasons why Affleck accepted the role as Batman was because of his son. He even went so far as to tip a FedEx delivery guy to do a fight scene with him because Samuel believed that he was the Joker.

However, there is good news for his daughter Violet, who will be allowed to see the PG-13 movie even if she is only 10 years old. He has another daughter, Seraphina, who is 7 and will be joining the younger Samuel in waiting until their dad allows them to see him perform as Batman.

Ben has three children with actress Jennifer Garner to whom he was married for 10 years. After a recent split, Affleck and Garner both have said that they've maintained a good relationship and are both very supportive parents.

One day he might allow little Samuel to see the film. "I'll have to con one of the editors into giving me a truncated version of the movie without some of the scarier stuff," he said in the interview.

"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be in theaters starting this week, March 25.
