What Happens When A Pregnant Woman Smokes Marijuana Will Shock You

The issue on smoking marijuana is already a touchy subject and it is even more controversial when pregnant women are involved in it. Doctors have noticed that lots of pregnant women these days are smoking weed, which is why it became a concern for most of them if the act itself could cause harm to the mother and the baby that she is carrying. Based on recent reports, there are actually no enough medical proofs stating that smoking weed is dangerous for pregnant women.

In an article published by Care2, they wrote that no doctors could actually pin point the negative effects of smoking weed during pregnancy. They just suggest that pregnant women don't smoke weed, but truthfully, even they can't tell the reason behind it. It cuts both ways, which means there also no reports about marijuana being beneficial during pregnancy.

This issue made scientists at the University of Colorado do something about it that they thought of creating new researches about the subject to once and for all have an answer to this matter.

"I am seeing more and more self-reported marijuana use in the clinic," Torri Metz, the head researcher for the project told the Denver Post. "I don't know if this is a reflection of women using more marijuana or of the women being more willing to tell us about their use."

It used to be hard for scientists to dig deep into studying it because this matter has always been a grey area, which makes women not comfortable talking about it. But the times have changed that more and more women are already out in the open about them smoking weed, which is why researchers found it easier these days to get results unlike years ago.

Soon, we'll have the answers to these. How about you? What do you think about this issue? Sound off in the comments section!
