Thus, it is very important for the parents to be aware of the risk factors that can increase a chance of being bullied. While showing weakness is the obvious risk factor of being bullied, there are other shocking factors that can put a child into a bullying target.

According to She Knows, schools that have implemented anti-bullying programs have higher percentages of bullying. Although the schools put into effect such program to curtail students' negative behavior, researchers discovered that there are more victims of bullying to school with an anti-bullying program than at schools without practicing such program. "One possible reason for this is that the students who are victimizing their peers have learned the language from these anti-bullying campaigns and programs," said Seokjin Jeong, lead author of the study, which was published in the Journal of Criminology.

Taking medication for ADHD can put a child at risk of being bullied.

Quyen Epstein-Ngo a research assistant professor at the University of Michigan Institute for Research on Women and Gender said their research discovered kids who take drugs to treat ADHD are twice likely to be bullied, compared to children who are not taking the certain drugs. Moreover, the risk of getting bullied is higher if the kids sell or trade their ADHD drugs.
