‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Spoilers & Release Date: LGBT Character Introduced In The Fox Revival?

"Prison Break" Season 5 is set to begin production in April in Vancouver and the Fox revival is already announcing returning and new characters to join the nine-episode event series. As Michael Scofield and the gang are bound to perform the biggest escape ever, how will he react when he finds out about Sara's new husband?

"Prison Break" Season 5 has recently seen the addition of several returning characters and new faces to join the most awaited revival of the Fox series.

"The Last Ship" actress Inbar Lavi, Kunal Sharma from "The Kids are Alright" and Marina Benedict from "Flesh and Bone" have been recently added to the growing list of cast for the "Prison Break" revival, Deadline reported.

Lavi will be playing the role of Sheba in "Prison Break" Season 5, who is described as "a beautiful and smart operator/fixer/activist who becomes involved with Lincoln." Benedict, on the other hand, will play A&W, "a crazed villainess who is unconcerned about her physical well-being but efficient in completing her deadly goals."

It looks like "Prison Break" Season 5 may also introduce a character to represent the LGBT community through Sharma's character, Sid. His character is described as "artsy, wired - and in prison. His offense, despite what his docket says, is solely being gay." It remains to be seen, however, whether the phrase "being gay" meant being happy or if it meant coming out of the closet.

While these three new characters in "Prison Break" Season 5 will be playing a major role to help Sara and Lincoln perform the series' biggest escape ever, many fans are wondering how Michael will react when he finds out about Sara's new life.

IBT reported on the possible tension that may surface in the "Prison Break" revival once Michael discovers that Sara has a new husband, Scott Ness.

"Prison Break" Season 5 spoilers and official synopsis reveal that Sara has moved on with her life after Michael's apparent death in Season 4.

"Prison Break" Season 5 is expected to premiere sometime in late 2016 or early 2017 on Fox.
