Microsoft Spring Sale News & Update: Xbox Console Price Drops To $299; Find Out Which 150 Game Deals Are Best

Microsoft is having yet another spring sale for the Xbox and if you've missed the fall sale last year, this is your chance to rack up some of the best deals. The sale officially kicked off March 20 and over 150 games are being sold at huge discounts.

The console's price has been marked down for Microsoft's Xbox Spring Sale, which is now going for $299 from $350. This deal includes free games like "Quantum Break," "The Signal" and "The Writer." Pre-order has started at retail stores like Amazon and units will begin shipping in early April.

Microsoft's extensive list of discounted games might be overwhelming, so here's a narrowed down version of what top games you should get, per Games Radar:

1) "Halo 5 Guardians" is at 25 percent off.

2) "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is at 25 to 30 percent off.

3) "Battlefield 4" Premium Edition is at 40 percent off.

4) "Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition" is at 67 percent off.

5) "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is at 40 percent off.

Gamespot also recommends getting these games at discounted prices:

1) "Call of Duty: Black Ops III"

2) "Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition"

If none of these titles are in your choices, you can check for the full list of game deals with over 150 offers via Major Nelson.

Apart from the consoles and games, Microsoft's spring sale also extends to its movie and TV series content.  The company is also offering Xbox Live Gold new subscriptions for an affordable rate of $1, per Gamespot. The system offers access to a multiplayer network where more free games and premium titles can be acquired. Choosing to go gold at this point will also afford the gamer an addition 10 percent discount on existing game deals.

These spring sale deals from Microsoft are available at the Microsoft Store, as well as retailers like Best Buy, Target and Amazon. However, the offers are only good until March 28, so you better think fast about purchasing any of the deals.
