Devon Sawa Baby: 'Nikita' Star Shares Baby Girl's Adorable Name

Former "Nikita" star Devon Sawa and his wife, Dawni Sahanovitch, just welcomed a baby girl into the world. On March 21, the lovely couple said hello to a beautiful 8-pound 3-ounce baby, whom they named Scarlet Heleena Sawa. This is the couple's second child, following their 2-year-old son, Hudson.

Ecstatic to share the news to his fans, Devon Sawa tweeted a photo of his lovely baby on Tuesday. It was captioned, "My wife's a rockstar."

"My wife Dawni and I welcome a beautiful little girl into the world - our daughter," Devon said in a statement via People. "Please say prayers that she is quiet and calm... Unlike my son, who would shoot himself out of a cannon if we let him."

The "Final Destination" star first revealed the news in November via Twitter. Devon Sawa wrote, "Boy, do I have some news. Or should I say 'girl.'"

Shortly after revealing the baby's sex, he went on to share his excitement over having more girls in the house. "We are going to have some pretty kickass Barbie sessions around here!!" he joked. "Im'a fishtail that pink Corvette too. And Tea Parties for days, yo."

The excitement for their little girl is apparent on their social media accounts. Devon constantly updates his fans on Twitter, while Dawni has been posting updates regarding her pregnancy on Instagram.

Just two days before she gave birth, she shared a sweet photo of Hudson playing. "Everyday this little boy asks to see the baby, then gently holding my tummy he says in the sweetest voice, 'Come home baby, it's big brother Hudson,'" She captioned the Instagram photo.

Little Scarlett Heleena's name actually has beautiful etymologies. She Knows noted that Scarlett is a baby girl name that's been gaining popularity over the past few years. Of English origin, Scarlett, of course, comes from a color that means red.

Among the famous women with this name is Scarlett O'Hara, a character from Margaret Mitchell's novel, "Gone With The Wind." Heleena, on the other hand, is the Finnish spelling of the name Helena, which means light.
