'Days of Our Lives' Air Date, News & Update: 4 Actors to Leave the Show? Fans Angry

There are surfacing news that the new head writers, Dena Higley and Ryan Quan, of "Days of Our Lives" will set four actors to leave the show. Belle (Martha Madison), Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Summer (Marie Wilson) and Lani (Sal Stowers) will all be axed.

According to Daytime Confidential, "Days of Our Lives" just recently brings back the characters of Shawn and Belle Brady for its 50th anniversary last year. In fact, the roles of Shawn and Belle are quite making an impact for "Days of Our Lives" because of their marital and family issues.

Summer, on the other hand, has been known to be a grafter, who is trying to persuade Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers). Summer wants to swindle Maggie out of a fortune, which makes her role, not a "real loss."

But, some wonders why people behind "Days of Our Lives" even add Summer's character when they would just cut her right away. Lastly, Lani is the only black female artist in "Days of Our Lives" and axing her will be, once again, a question of diversity in any kind of shows.

However, it has been known that "Days of Our Lives" is really undergoing a cast overhaul every time a new creative team is holding the show. But, this move surprises and angers some fans.

Inquisitr reported that Shawn and Belle have been longtime favorite characters of "Days of Our Lives" enthusiasts. In fact, "Days of Our Lives" viewers are keeping up with their story and some even finds it interesting.

Hence, fans have been questioning "Days of Our Lives" why do they have to let Shawn and Belle leave the show when they have more to show. Also, viewers are wondering how will the story of Claire, the daughter of Shawn and Belle, continue in Salem without her parents.

Fans, too, see how Lani's character blooms in "Days of Our Lives" as a good police officer. Lani also has a vital role in the lives of Abe and Theo.

Fans are questioning the decision of the new head writers. Hence, some believes that the long-running television series, "Days of Our Lives," is in the verge of being cancelled.
