‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’ News & Update: Show Cancelled After Season 1? Businesses Pull Out Ads From Duggar Spinoff Series

"Jill and Jessa: Counting On" Season 1 proved to be a success for TLC after its premiere episode drew more than 1.9 million viewers despite criticisms from fans and viewers following Josh Duggar's scandals during "19 Kids and Counting." Now, businesses are slowly pulling out their ads from the Duggar spinoff series. Will the show be cancelled after Season 1?

"Jill and Jessa: Counting On" may be cancelled after just one season on TLC if businesses will continue to pull out their advertisements from the said Duggar family TV series. According to In Touch, seven brands were surprised to hear that their ads were shown during the Duggar spinoff series.

Cici's Pizza, The UPS Store, Verizon Wireless, Pure Michigan, Whitewave Foods, Choice Hotes and Mattress Firm were cited as the brands who pulled out their ads from "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."

A representative from Cici's Pizza told the publication that the company "prides itself on being a family-friendly restaurant." The representative explained further that it recently made a large advertising buy on cable television and had no idea which programs their ads would run on.

However, when the company learned that their ads were "placed adjacent to controversial programming, we took immediate action to stop it." The same sentiments were aired by the other brands regarding their ads, which ran on "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."

The publication states that "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" may go through a tough time if more businesses decide to pull out their ads from the program. Design & Trend reported that the premiere episode of the Duggar spinoff series, which aired on March 15, received over 1.9 million viewers.

Back then, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" was likely to be renewed for Season 2 if fans and viewers will continue to watch the controversial series. However, with a lack of advertisers to keep the show going, will the show be cancelled instead after Season 1?
