'Captain America: Civil War' Spoilers, News & Update: 'Civil war' A Cap-Bucky Love Story

The Avengers who used to fight together will be divided in "Captain America: Civil War." One faction will be led by the titular superhero, the other with Iron Man. However, aside from witnessing a "Civil War" fans will also see a new love story.

"Captain America: Civil War" is the love story of the Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America and his best friend Bucky Barnes a.k.a The Winter Soldier. In the two "Captain America: Civil War" trailer released, Rogers and Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man's friendship was torn apart after the star-spangled superhero turned his back from the others to help his best buddy.

In fact, in the first "Civil War" trailer, Cap apologized to Stark for their conflict, stating that he only fights him because Barnes is his friend. He received a moving reply from the self-proclaimed genius, billionaire and playboy superhero, who answered back with, "So was I."

The Cap-Bucky lovestory theme springs from the "Captain America: Civil War" director himself.

"What's fascinating about the Cap-Bucky story as well is it's a love story," Joe Russo told Empire Online. "These are two guys who grew up together, and so they have that same emotional connection to each other as brothers would, and even more so because Bucky was all Steve had growing up."

However, Sebastian Stan, who plays The Winter Soldier in "Captain America: Civil War," likened the relationship of the two superheroes to the "Bad Boy" movies Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Stan said that it's easier to think that they are lovers if one forgets that one of them is filled with guilt because he failed to stand by his words when he promised that he will be the other's father figure and older brother. The actor, he has no qualms if people see it as a love story, but for him, Bucky and Cap's story in "Captain America: Civil War" is about brotherhood.

Per Independent, there are still lots of things to explore about The Winter Soldier in the "Civil War" regarding his shifting morality. Steve has to determine if his best friend is good or bad while the others hold the opposite point of view.
