'Five Nights at Freddy's' Move News & Update: Director Gil Kenan Gives A Sneak Peek Of The New Animatronic

There is no doubt about the success of Scott Cawthon's hit horror-survival game, "Five Nights at Freddy's." In fact, the series already spawned four installments, a book and movie adaptation.

For those who want to know the latest news about the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie, here's the latest scoop we have.

Director Gil Kenan is set to helm the movie version of the hit point-click game, "Five Nights at Freddy's." According to VineReport, since the film has received a go signal for production, Kenan has been dropping hints about the movie development of the indie survival game.

Kenan turned to Twitter and posted a photo that many believe is an animatronic's head. He captioned it with, "Watch that thumb." One follower asked him about the post and he just answered it saying, "from today's NYT article about STEM education..."

The said post made "Five Nights at Freddy's" fans speculate about just anything that applies to the film. Some believe that it will be used to bite the head. Per the report, one of the popular events in the franchise is the "Bite of 87" where one animatronic bit the head of a child.

Meanwhile, others believe that the head is for something else. Since the head fits a human and not for the terrorizing and murderous animatronics, there are rumors that the "Five Nights at Freddy's" film may feature other types of characters.

Yibada reported that Kenan is working with "Five Nights at Freddy's" creator, Cawthon to make the film stick to the game that inspired it. The upcoming flick will be produced by Seth Grahame-Smith, Roy Lee and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith productions.

For those expecting to be terrified in the upcoming horror flick, "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie, it will be and it will be relatable. "The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to," Cawthon told The Hollywood Reporter.
