Boxing News & Update: Kell Brook And Kevin Bizier Prepare For Their Fight

Kell Brook's IBF welterweight title will take place on Saturday night at the Sheffield Arena. The Kell Brook vs Kevin Bizier fight will air live on Sky Sports 1 in the UK and Ireland.

According to Boxing News and Views, both fighters are within the welterweight 147 lbs limit. Brook weighs three ounces more than Bizier, just slightly heavier than his challenger.

Despite the fact that the Canadian Bizier is not so well known by boxing fans, he was able to earn his shot at Brook's title. The Saturday night fight is a mandatory challenger defense for Brook. If he won't fight Bizier, he will lose his belt.

According to Sky Sports, Kell Brook has declared an "old-fashioned war" against mandatory challenger Kevin Bizier. Kell Brook hopes to slug out the Canadian after meeting him in the ring.

Brook (35-0-KO24), Sheffield's IBF world welterweight champion, will defend his crown tonight in front of his home fans. The champion declared Thursday in a press conference that he is "desperate for an old-fashioned war." Since he knows that Bizier is a strong come-forward fighter, Brook aims to "excite everybody with an old-fashioned war."

Kell Brook added that since it's been nearly a year since he returned to the Sheffield Arena, he can't wait to get ready for the fight night. He has done everything right and training has gone very well. Despite the fact that he missed out celebrating birthdays and Christmas, the champion added that his mind has been always "on the job in hand."

At 30 years old this year, Brook believes he is "the best on the planet" and he wants to show that to the world. As the IBF champion he feels that he has a duty to show everybody why he is the champion.

Brook added that boxing is what he was born for. Walking to the ring, he feels invincible. Everything is about "getting in there and enjoying the night."
