'Grand Theft Auto 6' Release Date, News & Update: 'GTA 6' Now In The Works

Good news for gamers as the next installment of "Grand Theft Auto" series is already in its preliminary production. "Grand Theft Auto 6" is already in the works but Rockstar is still undecided if the game will be set in Tokyo, Japan or the United States.

According to Game Spot, it is not surprising that Rockstar is about to create "Grand Theft Auto 6." In fact, Take-Two already called "Grand Theft Auto" as their permanent game series, which only proves that new installments are about to come.

Leslie Benzies, former Rockstar boss, also said before that Rockstar already has "some ideas" how "Grand Theft Auto 6" will flow. However, Independent adds that Rockstar is not yet sure what venue "Grand Theft Auto 6" will use.

There are rumors that "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be located in Tokyo, Japan as there are some Rockstar staff who visited the city for a location research. However, it's quite tricky to set "Grand Theft Auto 6" in Tokyo, Japan because of the city's road system.

Tech Radar adds, via Independent, that Rockstar might find it hard to set "Grand Theft Auto 6" abroad, outside the U.S. If Rockstar did, the video game company needs to adjust the "Grand Theft Auto's" usual features such as U.S. brands, tags and cars.

Hence, it is quite possible that "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be set in the U.S. Meanwhile, Independent added that Rockstar didn't give any details, as of this writing, about the official release of "Grand Theft Auto 6."

"Grand Theft Auto 5" was launched five years after its predecessor. Thus, "Grand Theft Auto 6" might take a couple of years or more to be released.
