'Pokemon Sun', 'Pokemon Moon' Release Date, News & Update: First Footage Available on April 3

There is a growing hype about the upcoming games "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon." For those who are excited to get their hands on the game, new reports suggest that you will soon see its first trailer.

IGN reported that the first footage for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" would be available on Sunday, Apr. 3.

The announcement was made in Serebii.net, which goes:

"It has been confirmed that in the episode of Gathering at the Pokémon House, the variety show that airs in Japan every Sunday, that airs on April 3rd, series Director Junichi Masuda will be on, alongside battle director Shigeki Morimoto and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire game director Shigeru Ohmori and will talk about the new games, presumably Pokémon Sun & Moon and will feature the first TV aired footage. It is not known if the footage will be released officially on the Internet beforehand but we will post as soon as anything is revealed."

Aside from the anticipated trailer, Parent Herald previously reported the gameplay and mechanics of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" would be featured in the April 15 issue of the CoroCoro Magazine. The publication teases that there will be big revelations about the titles in the said issue.

Per Bitbag there are chances that "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" will include Mega Evolution. MandJTVPokevids, a YouTube user speculates that the Johto region, including Totodile, Cyndaquil and Chikorita will get mega evolutions. It is also likely that Solrok and Lunatone will get mega evolutions in "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" because the pair looks like the sun and the moon. However, it is not certain that the two will be the faces of the upcoming titles.

Meanwhile, the earlier iterations of "Pokemon" introduced a running shoe and skates for traveling. The new duo titles may also come with a new traveling gear and per Yibada, there will be usable vehicles in "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon."
