Liam Neeson's Hit Film 'Taken' Will Have A TV Series; Who Will Take The Lead Role?

There is no doubt that Liam Neeson's "Taken" film is a blockbuster. In fact, it spawned a sequel. New reports suggest that "Taken" will soon hit the small screens in a TV series.

"Taken" became popular due to its breathtaking actions, twists and plots. It highlights a father-daughter relationship: Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) a former government operative who is trying to reconnect with his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace). He later finds himself playing cat and mouse against the sex slavers who abduct his daughter.

One factor that made "Taken" unforgettable is Neeson's speech.

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills," Neeson said. "Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you."

Any person who watched "Taken" will surely remember these lines. As Esquire described it, the lines were "classically structured piece of rhetoric, a Tarantino-style soliloquy but drained of comedy."

If you love "Taken" a television series is already in the works, Inquisitr reported. Alex Carey, the producer of the upcoming "Taken" TV series is very careful in casting the lead male character. Clive Standen is selected to play the young Liam Neeson with Jennifer Beals as his opposite.

International Business Times reported that the "Taken" TV series is a prequel to Liam Neeson's film. It will tell the story of how Bryan Mills developed his skills and ability to save his daughter.

Beals will play as the Special Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Christina Heart, a woman who sees Mills potential and will be his mentor.
