Google Street View Lets You Explore The Batcave In 'Batman v Superman' And It's Awesome!

Google Street View recently gave Batman fans a glimpse of his headquarters, also known as the Batcave. So far, fans provided very good feedback on the Batcave and other places, as seen in the movie “Batman v Superman.”

Google Street View collaborated with Warner Bros to feature the Batcave, complete with weapons, computers, laboratory equipment and some references to Bruce Wayne’s background. Some of the notable items that could be spotted inside the complex include the new Batmobile, Batman’s armor, Robin’s costume and other interesting gadgets.

The Verge reveals that the movie sets seemed almost like the real environment. The team behind the film did an excellent job in creating the area. About $400 million was invested in making the movie, and much has been invested in building the Batcave, considering that it will still be used for future DC movies. Users can also view the Batcave in virtual reality using Google Cardboard or Gear VR. The Google Street View experience begins at Bruce Wayne’s house with only a single view available. Users can go down the hallway to enter the Batcave.

Google noted that the set above where the Batcave is supposed to be is located outside of Detroit. Much of the principal photography of “Batman v Superman” was taken in Detroit.

Cinema Blend provided instructions on how to enter the Batcave via Google Maps. First, type “Bruce Wayne’s Residence” on Google Maps. Next, select “Street View,” which will lead to the online app that allows users to explore the premises.

Fans look forward to seeing more of the Batcave and other features and elements that may hint on how Batman made it. The area has gone through several changes through the years. Every Batman movie provided its own iteration of the secret lair and how Bruce Wayne discovered it.

Comic Vine writes that the Batcave is Batman’s central command center in his war against crime in Gotham City. The lair is located underneath the Wayne Manor and is equipped by several high-tech facilities such as a hydrogen generator, supercomputer, security systems and connection to satellites. Every creation of the Batcave features three main items -- a full size Tyrannosaurus Rex, a giant U.S. penny and a giant Joker playing card. The Batcave also has several entrances and exits. The Google Maps version provides one route.

Overall, the partnership between Google Street View and Warner Bros provides fans with a whole new perspective of the Batcave. Watch an overview of the Batcave below.
