'GTA 6' Release Date, News & Update: Game Already In Development; 'GTA: Tokyo' Might Happen!

Rumors surrounding the new "Grand Theft Auto" games has been around since the last game came out. The success of the last game speaks a lot as to what the game developers of "GTA" might consider and that is making "GTA 6" happen.

Although there has been no news as to when this will arrive, sources are now saying that "GTA 6" is now in development. There will be no question to the success of "GTA 6" and fans are waiting for more details about the new installment of "Grand Theft Auto."

According to the source, Rockstar is yet to finalize at which city or country "GTA 6" will happen but it is quite clear that it might still be in the United States. This comes after rumors spread that Rockstar was supposed to create a "Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo" video game, wherein  the video game will be happening in Tokyo but the idea was scrapped for many reasons.

"The road system was seen to be problematic and became one reason the idea was canned...Our source added that, as time has gone on, Rockstar has realized the difficulty in moving Grand Theft Auto outside of the USA, where it has firmly embedded itself. There are a number of series staples, from brands to cars, that Rockstar would likely have to change if a future GTA was set somewhere else," TechRadar's scoop stated.

The possibility of the "Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo" happening was between the time "Grand Theft Auto III" and "Vice City" was in development. Even the game developers have already gone to Tokyo to scout for areas and to take pictures as inspiration. However, for now, "Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo" is a long gone idea and fans are now concentrating on when "GTA 6" will be available.
