Brussels Terrorist Attack: Death Toll Rises, Victims Die Overnight

Another terrorist attack surprised everyone as Brussels faced bombings in Brussels Airport in Zaventem and Maelbeek Metro Station. The death toll now rises as there are some victims who died overnight in the hospitals.

According to ABC News, as of the latest total, there are about 35 people killed and other 300 wounded in the terror campaign, Ministry of Health spokesman Jan Eyckmans said on Monday. The newest additions are the four casualties who passed away in the hospital overnight on Sunday.

Moreover, hundreds of people mourn the death of the Brussel attack victims at the temporary memorial place to give tribute to the fatalities. However, the shrine was filled with tension when some men clashed.

The police were called to control the rioting crowd, who described themselves as "fascists." Officials said that that hooligans were starting to throw some chairs and trash cans during the demonstration.

Meanwhile, CNN reported that the arrested man, who allegedly was one of the attackers, was released by the investigating judge on Monday. The guy was only known by the name "Faycal C." The federal prosecutor's office said that the evidences that lead to his arrest were unusable to the ongoing investigation.

In fact, in the current inspections, the police already made 13 raids inside and around the federal prosecutor's office area of Brussels. On Sunday, officials announced that they now have nine people ready for investigation.

However, six out of the said numbers have been set free after undergoing "in-depth interviews." while three of them remains in the police's custody. The three men are named Yassine A., Mohamed B. and Aboubaker O. They are all charged with "participating in the activities of a terrorist group," the federal prosecutor's office explained on Monday.

The susupected Belgians only means that the detainees need to be under investigation. Hence, the captives have the right to be freed without trial once the gathered evidence have no connection to the assault.
