Michael Schumacher News & Update: F1 Superstar’s Health Condition Still Grim Amid Slow Recovery

With the continuous media blackout still in effect, news and updates about Michael Schumacher's health condition remain scarce. But based on the latest update, the former Formula One champion is reportedly showing signs of slow progress.

Despite Michael Schumacher's slow and uncertain recovery, the Schumacher clan remain hopeful. In fact, Michael's slow progress has already been reported last year, where his manager Sabine Kehm reminded fans that while Michael was "making progress," they should always remember the "seriousness" of his injury in mind, Sportsrageous notes.

FIA president Jean Todt also added that Michael Schumacher was "still fighting." And former Ferrari and Mercedes boss Ross Brawn said that hope regarding the seven-time F1 champ's recovery "has not been exhausted."

While Michael Schumacher's health condition appears grim, Kehm said during a rare public appearance at an exhibition in Germany that all that could be done at the moment was to be optimistic and show unwavering support for his family. According to Jobs & Hire, the said event was also attended by Michael's wife Corinna and their two children Gina Marie and Mick.

"He is the most successful driver in history and sometimes, on days like this, it is good to be reminded of it," Kehm said, as per Planet F1. "Of course, Michael is not here and of course we miss him. We know what has happened and cannot change it."

"We must accept it and hope with everything we have that with continued support and patience he will one day be back with us," she added. "Racing was his life and no one would have liked to have been here more than him."

Meanwhile, Michael Schumacher continues to undergo an extensive rehabilitation program at his Geneva, Switzerland estate More than two years after his unfortunate skiing accident at the French Alpine resort of Meribel in December 2013. As previously reported, Schumacher is currently under the care of 15 medical experts 24/7 at a highly-secured and state-of-the-art custom built suite at the comforts of his home.
