'Thor 3: Ragnarok' Release Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Chris Hemsworth Excited To Start Filming; Hela Will Kill Heimdall?

"Thor" fans are very excited for the third installment of the franchise. However, you should not fret out because new reports suggest that "Thor 3: Ragnarok" is making progress.

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" lead star Chris Hemsworth told GQ Australia that he is excited to return to his homeland, Australia to film "Thor 3."

"When I was here [in Australia] years ago while doing some press, and talking to people, they were [asking] 'When will you bring a film back here?" Chris Hemsworth told the publication. "When [Marvel was] talking about where [the movie] was going to be shot, I said, 'Why can't it be Australia?'" the actor said admitting that he suggested the country and he got the deal.

"[We] just kept pushing, and that became a bigger conversation. And you know, it landed here, and I couldn't be happier. A lot of my friends are going to be on that production," Hemsworth added.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Cate Blanchett's character Hela, the Asgardian Goddess of Death and ruler of Hel will be a big threat in "Thor 3: Ragnarok." Her darkness will not only be limited to Asgard because this time she will make her presence known in the entire universe, Latino Reviews  reported.

Per the report, in the "Thor: Ragnarok" story Hela will take Asgard and the God of Thunder will attempt to stop her, but she will destroy Thor's hammer and murder his friend Heimdall (Idris Elba).

It seems that with this plot, "Thor 3: Ragnarok" just follows through the plot in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." One scene in "Age of Ultron" featured Heimdall warning Thor of Hel before his visions about the Infinity Stones took over.

Many Marvel fans will surely be disheartened with Heimdall's death because if this report is true, it happens earlier than expected.

As for Blanchett taking the villain role in "Thor 3: Ragnarok" she considered it as an opportunity because the role will motivate her to work out.

"I've only done action a couple of times, so it feels like...a departure is too strong a word, but it certainly seems like a change for me. So, I am looking forward to getting really fit, and wearing lycra, and hoping to earn a bit of street cred from my kids. I can't wait," she told South Korea's Moloive.
