Andy Murray Baby: Life As A Parent Badly Affecting Tennis Star's Career?

Professional tennis player Andy Murray is currently criticized for his dwindling performance and parenting experts are saying it is all because he is now a father. His game is even affected that on March 28, he lost after reaching the third round during the Miami Open.

Newsweek reported that Murray lost against Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov. He didn't look like he brought his game on during the open that he even had a bit of a rift talk with his coach, Amelie Mauresmo.

A lot of people have noticed this change on the athlete's performance recently. BBC Scotland said that Murray looked tired and emotionally drained, as per the commentary made by Annabel Croft.

Parenting experts could understand Murray's situation since he and his wife just welcomed their new daughter, Sophia Olivia last February. One of these experts is Sue Atkins and she explained that it is possible that Murray is adjusting from this huge transition in his life. It is tough being a parent, especially if it is your first time while your career is demanding so much of you.

Ever since his baby was born, Murray's performance in the game has quite suffered. Parenting experts are not exactly blaming the coming of his baby because a child is a blessing. They are simply pointing out the demands and priorities of being a father could change the lifestyle of high profile individuals like Murray.

Atkins opened up to Newsweek Europe, giving her two cents about the case of Murray. "Babies are very demanding," the parenting expert said. "They need feeding, changing, nurturing - they cry, they don't sleep according to when we want to sleep.

This is not the first time that highly motivated athletes get side track when their priorities in life have to change. Atkins said that it is normal for Murray to experience this transition.
