Donald Trump Hit On How He Deals With Mental Illness

A 2004 incident on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's reality TV show "The Apprentice" recently got the attention of the public. It highlighted how Trump dealt with a contestant whom he believed struggled mentally in the show.

According to The Daily Beast, Stacie J. was fired during the Season 2 Episode 3 of the show because of her "unpredictable behavior." One weird thing she does before completing her tasks is consulting a Magic 8-Ball toy.

"Do you believe that?" Trump asked her about the Magic 8 Ball but the contestant dismissed claims that she was crazy. "This comes from two people, Stacie, that don't like each other at all. The first thing they've agreed on is that you're crazy... Stacie, if you have a problem, I don't want you running one of my companies," he added.

When he consulted other contestants about Stacie's condition, Trump finally decided to take her out of the show. "Your entire team's expressed concern about your behavior and they really seem nervous about it. I just can't have a loose cannon on my hands, someone who might potentially cause this kind of stress to my team," Trump explained.

Fast forward to 2016, Trump is again making accusations on the mental state of the wife of his rival Ted Cruz. According to "Make America Awesome" co-founder Liz Mair, the business mogul has started rumors that Heidi Cruz is mentally unstable. "Donald Trump is so desperate to beat Cruz that his team has been pushing around rumors she's a criminal w a mental illness for weeks, now," Mair said on her Twitter page.

The Daily Beast discussed that Trump's decisions and judgments are unacceptable especially his accusations that someone is mentally ill without any proof. He was tagged "irresponsible" and his actions "inappropriate" by a lot of people.
