'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News & Update: Another Ex-Rockstar Employee Confirms Sequel; Title Will Arrive This Year?

There is no doubt that among the anticipated games today is the sequel to the open world Western action-adventure video game, "Read Dead Redemption." However, despite the hype surrounding "Red Dead Redemption 2," Rockstar Games remain mum about the title's development but not their ex-employees.

Another former Rockstar Games employee added "Read Dead Redemption 2" in his LinkedIn profile. Per Christian Today, Ruben Tavares was a senior 3D artist in the company and he listed "Grand Theft Auto 5," "Midnight Club: Los Angeles" and "Red Dead Redemption 2" as among his works from Rockstar.

Per the report, Tavares made sure to correct "Midnight Club: Los Angeles" because it was misspelled. He also explained that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was an error.

However, many were hesitant to believe that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was a mistake because it was very unlikely. He could have just typed "Red Dead Redemption," which is at the time what fans will see in his profile.

Parent Herald previously reported about two other ex-Rockstar employees who also leaked "Read Dead Redemption 2" on Reddit. Danny Ross, who used to work at Rockstar, answered questions on Reddit from fans.

One asked him what can fans expect from Rockstar and he responded with "Really? Dumbass. Really? Two." Many believe that he was dropping a huge revelation, that he meant "Read Dead Redemption 2."

Meanwhile, another Reddit user introduced himself as AnonDN1978 and claimed to be a former Rockstar developer. He disclosed that the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel would be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West" and explained that it will be a prequel of the first title. He added that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will come with two main characters and another third person that the player can create, WCCF Tech reported.

According to Christian Post, there are reports claiming that Rockstar is keeping the details of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in hopes of a lower number of attendees at the popular trade show.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, fans should not expect "Red Dead Redemption 2" in E3 despite Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick's statement that they will be there "in a big way."

Lazygamer advised that Rockstar doesn't give big surprises at E3 unlike Take-Two Interactive, their mother company. Instead, Rockstar prefers to unveil their games on their own terms.

What do you think will Rockstar unveil "Red Dead Redemption 2" in E3 and launch the title this year? Or will it be another round of waiting? Share your thoughts below.
