'Gears of War 4' Release Date, News & Update: A Totally New Universe For 'GoW' Players In 'GoW 4'; Has Thicker Plot And Gameplay

There have been many video games that have come and go during the length that the very first video games were made, produced and released. As years went by, numerous game studios both big and indie have popped up and hundreds of raw ideas for video games are being pooled.

One of the most successful games ever is the video game "Gears of War," which was made into a franchise after it was seen that it was a very well received and loved video game. Now, fans have been asking what is going to happen with the new franchise of "Gears of War," which will be the 4^th installment of the video game.

According to the new developers of "Gears of War," The Coalition and The Coalition's Head, Rod Fergusson, they plan to create an entirely new franchise with "Gears of War," which means there will be an entirely new universe for gamers to explore. According to Rod Fergusson, they aim to not just give gameplay to the players of "Gears of War" but also a "Gears of War" that has a rich storyline that will make the players want to play the game over and over again.

"When you're dealing with a game type where the one interaction you have with the world is with what you shoot, it makes it really hard to tell the heartfelt story," Rod Fergusson said, citing one of their highly successful game as an example. "Probably, 'The Last of Us' is the closest we've come to accomplishing that. "For us it was 'Ok, moving forward, how do we setup a foundation for not just a trilogy,' but for a much larger universe," Creative director of The Coalition, Chuck Osieja stated.

"Gears of War 4" will be released this Fall 2016.
