April Fool's day continually stepped up the notch in playing pranks. Though it supposed to be harmless, some pranks went from bad to ugly. Now that April 1 is over, readers can now get a glimpse of the best and worst April Fool's day prank compiled by various websites.

April Fool's Day continually accent in terms of coming with genius pranks as we reach the 21^st Century. Though using technical advancement may seem easier and superb, it can sometimes end up with the prankster, pranking himself. Listed below are the top three highlights of this year's April Fool's.

The BEST April Fool's Day Joke

Joe Heenan gathered 7,840 retweets and 6,511 liked on his Twitter post as he pranked his kids. The photo which was captioned: "#AprilFools Told my kids I got them an iPad but it's just the box." His prank gave out a good laugh as he gave his kids a cardboard box in replacement of the real gadget. not much of a bad parent as he decided to give them the real deal after taking a photo of their long faces.

Prank Failed: Google Prank Itself

Google pretty much pulled off the WORST April Fool's Day prank. Their mic drop prank caused outrage among Gmail users as it cost them their jobs. The Gmail Mic Drop, which has a special version of the send button sends out a minion dressed as a queen GIF.

On their BlogSpot account, The Guardian mentioned that it may seem like a harmless prank, but Google decided to take it down as if gathered endless backlash from the prank victims.

April Fool's Day Banned in China?

On the other side of the world, however, it was reported that China banned April Fool's Day pranks. According to AFP, it was mentioned that April Fool's is not applicable in China.

"Today is the West's so-called 'April Fools. The occasion does not conform with our nation's cultural traditions, nor does it conform with the core values of socialism," China's Xinhua's news reported.
