'Mad Max: Fury Road' Cast News & Update: Charlize Theron And Tom Hardy Struggle With Each Other On The Set, Do They Hate Each Other?

"Mad Max: Fury Road" is among the most successful films in 2015. In fact, it gathered several awards. But did you know that the two leading actors of the film struggle to work together?

"Mad Max: Fury Road" won most of the awards in the recently concluded Oscar awards. Among the awards it received are Costume Design, Film Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, production Design, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing, The Oscars reported.

However, despite the success of "Mad Max: Fury Road" filming was never easy for Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. "From what I hear, he's not like that on every movie - I hear he's had good experiences," Theron told the Wall Street Journal Magazine in an interview. "Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other. If we were chum-chum, maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse."

Per the report, Tom Hardy declined to comment on the article. As for director George Miller, he doesn't think that there's a brewing conflict between his two "Mad Max: Fury Road" stars. However, their conflicting characters in the film might have transpired in their working relationship. Hardy reportedly stayed in character between takes, which resulted in their conflict.

"When they first meet each other, they're trying to kill each other. As the two characters come together out of necessity and rather reluctantly, they have to find a degree of trust. And to some extent that was the trajectory of their relationship as well," George Miller said.

Well, Metro reported that Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy have already patched things up. In fact, Tom Hardy described Charlize Theron as "one of the most talented actress of our generation" in an interview with Esquire Magazine back in 2014. He also sent her a note after filming wrapped, which reads, "You are an absolute nightmare, BUT you are also f***ing awesome. I'll kind of miss you. Love, Tommy."

Per the reports, two "Mad Max: Fury Road" sequels are in the works, so it's good that things are now fine between the two leading stars.
