'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers, News & Update: Presidential Candidates Will Work Together To Protect Themselves And Keep Their Secrets From The Public

The upcoming episode of "Scandal" Season 5 will be more exciting and thrilling because the presidential candidates will face a threat that will force them to work together. What is this threat? Why is it so effective in uniting the presidential aspirants?

Christian Today reported that the presidential candidates were throwing mud at each other. Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is best in her job. She works with her Gladiators to dig some dirt against Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani) until she learns that the current Vice President is never married to her late husband. She also discovers her greatest secret, that another man named Ronnie, is the real father of her daughter Casey.

Olivia encouraged Ronnie to testify against Susan but he was not cooperative. He instead opted to commit suicide instead of spilling Susan's secret before his scheduled interview on national TV. Olivia is now considering to stopping her dirty campaign tactics.

The next episode of "Scandal" season 5 titled "Thwack" will join the presidential candidates together in one mission and that is to prevent a "potential leak" which may expose their dark secrets to the public. The official synopsis of the episode reads as below:

"The election is in full swing, which means everyone is doing their best to take down their opponents, but when a potential leak threatens several candidates, they have to work together to keep their secrets safe. Boundaries are pushed and lines are crossed as we find out just how far some people are willing to go to protect themselves."
