MacBook V HP Notebook News: HP To Release A New Laptop Thinner Than Apple's Ultra-Thin MacBook

There are non-stop talks about the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016. However, HP is determined to steal the limelight as they announced that they are working on new notebooks that are slimmer and lighter than Apple's MacBook.

CultofMac reported that HP will unveil their new notebook that is reportedly slimmer than than Apple's ultra-thin MacBook. Are you excited to see it? Or are you still waiting for the Cupertino tech giant to release their new MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air?

Apple is the first one to create a slim notebook when they introduced MacBook Air. They also keep the next model of their MacBook Pro slimmer and lighter. Last year, Apple introduced a new line of laptop, which they simply called MacBook.The 12-inch MacBook only measures 13.1 millimeters at its thickest point and only 3.5 millimeters near the edges. It is lighter and slimmer than MacBook Air, which triggers reports that Apple might not continue their MacBook Air lineup, now that MacBook is lighter.

There is no doubt that Apple's innovations set the standards when it comes to laptops' sleekness. However, will the company be able to hold their title as the trend setter if HP is determined to beat their laptops?HP, one of the laptop makers is challenging Apple with its new notebook that will come with reduced size and weight.

"For years, Apple has been seen as the innovator and the driver of innovation," Ron Coughlin, HP president of personal systems group told The Wall Street Journal. "HP is really taking over that mantle."

Chief Executive Dion Weisler is also determined to take the crown of being a trendsetter in style and technology from Apple. HP is indeed gearing up for something big in their next laptop unveiling.

HP declined to share the details of their ultra-slim laptops. Per the reports, the company is keeping things under wrap until Tuesday because the new HP laptop, which is expected to be thinner than Apple's MacBook will be unveiled on the said day. The said event will be held in Versailles, France and is organized by the New York Times.
