Red Dot Design Reveals Unofficial Renders of Asus Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe; How Do They Look?

The ASUS Zenfone 3 and ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe were recently spotted on the website Red Dot 21. The unofficial images provided users with a quick glimpse of the two upcoming phones.

Based on the featured images, the ASUS Zenfone 3 will have 2.5D glass in the front and back, as well as a curved aluminum frame along the edges.

Phone Arena notes that the new smartphone feature a thin aluminum design. There is a square rear camera that protrudes on the back of the device, as well as a dual tone LED flash and laser auto focus. The front of the Zenfone 3 showed three capacitive function keys. The Zenfone 3 may also include a biometric scanner.

As for the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe, it features a metal design, and has the same oval home button as several Samsung Galaxy models.

Android Authority writes that both upcoming models include a front-facing flash, as well as a USB Type-C port. The two also includes an optional Smart Flip Cover. Similar to their predecessor, the ASUS Zenfone 2, the new devices are expected to arrive at reasonable prices with very good specifications that will lure users who are looking for decent features on a budget.

In January 2016, the ASUS Zenfone 3 and ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe appeared on GFXBench benchmark tests, given the model numbers Z012D and Z010DD a, respectively. The benchmark test stated that the Zenfone 3 will most likely showcase a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 650 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The phone has a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front shooter. The Zenfone 3 will also run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Z010 is most likely the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe, which features a bigger 5.9-inch display with an HD resolution of 720 x 1280. The device is still powered by a Snapdragon 650 processor and 3GB of RAM.

Based on the unofficial renders, both devices may come in at least three color choices – gold, black and silver. The price has not yet been revealed, although experts expect it to be close to the retail price of the Zenfone 2, which ranged from $199 to $299, depending on the internal memory and RAM.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 and ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be presented at Computex 2016, which will happen from May 31 to June 4, 2016. More updates and details on the two new smartphones are expected soon.
