In July, Matt Damon will be making his silver screen comeback as he reprise his iconic role Jason Bourne in "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne." As the release date of the "Bourne" sequel comes close, several spoiler updates hint some interesting details.

Jason Bourne's saga in finding his true identity is reportedly concluding in "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne." According to Matt Damon, the upcoming sequel is the "completion" of Jason's journey that began in the first installment of the film franchise.

"This is the completion of this journey that started in the Bourne Identity," Damon told Empire Magazine. "It's part of the first three movies; it's not a whole new chapter. It feels like the conclusion, even though we're not saying it's the conclusion, it feels like the conclusion of my identity journey. It goes deeper than Ultimatum."

In addition, Damon also hinted that "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" will depict the conflicts in the post-Snowden realm. And just recently, filmmaker Paul Greengrass revealed some new plot information and listed below are 3 exciting details we've learned about "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne."

1. "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" New Plot Details

"Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" will be exploring the nature of spy agencies and civil liberties. According to Movie Web, Greengrass revealed that he Jason Bourne has been "doing hard physical work" instead of enjoying the beaches in Europe.

"He's been in the shadows of Europe," Greengrass told Entertainment Weekly. "He's been active and he's been doing hard physical work. Definitely not sunning himself on the beach."

Greengrass also added that Damon's dedication is the reason why he's returning to helm "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne." The 60-year-old English film director was also responsible in helming both "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum."

"You don't make a movie unless you're 1000 percent committed to make the best movie we can, and you don't make this kind of movie unless you think it can be a worthy successor to the other movies we made," he added. "That phenomenal Jason Bourne shape was a segment of intent. It gave all of us the most immense shock, because you think 'Oh my god. This is weird. This is Jason Bourne, and he's back.' That's sort of exciting."

Damon also previously hinted that Bourne is in Europe. But several other "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" locations also include Greece and Las Vegas.

2. "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" New Villain

Aside from new cast additions, "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" also features Vincent Cassel as the new villain described as a deadly assassin, Enstars notes. Also joining Cassel are Alicia Vikander as a cyber-specialist, Tommy Lee Jones as CIA Director Robert Dewey, Riz Ahmed as CIA tech specialist Aaron Kalloor and Scott Shepherd as the CIA deputy director.

3. "Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" Release Date

"Bourne 5: Jason Bourne" has been scheduled for release on Jul. 29, 2016. The sequel is reportedly going up against STX Entertainment's "Bad Moms," which stars Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell.
