Warner Bros Unveils Official Trailer For 'The LEGO Batman Movie'; Release Date & Plot Summary [Watch]

Warner Bros. is currently developing “The LEGO Batman Movie” in partnership with LEGO. Slated for release in 2017, the film focuses on the Dark Knight. The official trailer has been launched to appease fans. Also, a DC-based LEGO movie is also set to release in 2016.

The new trailer for “The LEGO Batman Movie” provide a glimpse of Wayne Manor, Batman’s home. The two-minute clip initially showed Batman in LEGO form, teasing that there will be two trailers per week.

The next scene showed Batman reflecting on his parents while looking at an old family photo. His trusty butler, Alfred, suddenly appeared and asked whether he wanted to talk about his feelings. Batman got defensive and said that he does not want to, rolling on the floor and repeating his words several times as if in denial. Batman proceeded to bust a few dance moves and told Alfred that he should be recording everything.

The final scene showed the Dark Knight in action. There were also shots of the Justice League and some of their famous enemies like Bane, Scarecrow and Penguin, among others.

CNet reveals that Will Arnet will play Batman in “The LEGO Batman Movie,” reprising his role in “The LEGO Movie.” Seth Grahame-Smith is writing the script while Chris McKay is directing. Other cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Rosario Dawson, Zach Galifianakis, Mariah Carey and Michael Cera.

In 2016, fans can start enjoy “LEGO DC Comics Superheroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout,” which will be shown in homes, writes ComicBook. A trailer of the upcoming animated film was recently showcased by Warner Bros.

In the video, Batman was urged by the Justice League to go on a vacation outside of Gotham City. While Batman is away, things go haywire in Gotham City. Joker escaped together with other villains. Batman also met Bane and Deathstroke during his vacation with Batgirl and Nightwing. The movie will also feature big battles in two locations with Batman’s trio in one adventure and the rest of the Justice League in the next.

Some of the voice actors in “LEGO DC Comics Superheroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout” will include Troy Baker, Khary Payton and Nolan North. No release date for the 2016 film has been set at the moment.
